Irish winning streak ends at five games

The Irish boys basketball team pushed their winning streak to five games before the streak came to an end last Friday. Chapman hosted Clay Center Jan. 30 and traveled to Southeast of Saline Feb. 2.

Talor Warner led the Irish with 13 first quarter points en route to an 18-13 lead against Clay Center. Chapman extended the lead to nine at halftime, 33-24. Out of the intermission both teams scored 20 points apiece for a 53-44 Chapman lead. The Irish iced the game in the fourth quarter outscoring Clay Center 17-9 for a 70-53 victory.
