Chapman Archery competes at NASP
Chapman Archery headed to Louisville, KY for their fourth consecutive trip to the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Eastern National Tournament on Wednesday May 9th. The group ate Lunch in St. Charles, MO and then made a stop to Tour the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. After a fun tour the 46 Archers, Coaches and Sponsors bedded down and prepared for the next day’s competition.
The team began their Thursday with a fairly relaxed morning before heading off to the Kentucky Expo Center to get things started with the NASP/IBO 3-D Tournament in the afternoon. 3-D is scored differently, with 6 scores instead of 12 like NASP Targets/Bullseye. “I was very pleased with our 3-D efforts,” stated Andy Fewin, Chapman Archery Sponsor & Director. “Almost all states who have NASP are way ahead of KS Schools on the 3-D side of things, so to compete the way we did is really a great accomplishment.”
