Briggs wins 4A girls title, Modrow takes fifth in boys race

A magical and successful cross country season came to an end this past Saturday for the Irish at the 4A State meet held at Wamego Saturday, Oct. 28. Taylor Briggs capped off her freshman season with a season personal record and capturing the 4A State girls individual championship, the first individual cross country champ in Chapman history.

Briggs led the Lady Irish who placed eighth in the 12 team standings. Chapman edged Towanda-Circle by four points, 214, to Circle’s 218 points.
