A Pastor’s Viewpoint
For the past month, I have been writing articles based on Adam Hamilton’s book “When Christians Get It Wrong.” We have also noted that Christians many times get it right. In the United States of America our population is composed of millions of Christians along with millions of people of other religions and people who are not religious. In this country, we as a society, as a nation, need to get it right.
It is impossible to discuss our country without delving into politics. That is not necessarily a bad thing. We vote for those who hold political office. We become frustrated with what happens in Topeka and in Washington, D.C. We become critical of those who serve. Realistically no president, senator, or representative can please everyone or solve all our nation’s problems. I think we as voters get it wrong when we are concerned only about our own special interests.
