Becoming Treasure
Grandpa had so many interesting things in his bedroom. I loved to wander down the hall and explore whenever my family visited him. Among the treasures on the dresser was a long piece of wood, drilled hollow with seven holes drilled into one side and a single hole on the opposite. Each end of was wrapped with a bit of silver. I soon figured out that it was some sort of flute and tried on every visit to get a sound through it.
