Churches band together for Community Vacation Bible School

Last week 72 kids and 42 volunteers started their summer vacation together at the Community Vacation Bible School. The five day event took place each morning at the Chapman United Methodist Church. A Sunday morning program concluded the bible school on June 11 with the youth wearing t-shirts they had colored during the week with the theme, “Maker Fun Factory!” During the program, the children performed songs they had learned during the week.

Organizer and CUMC member Janet Meyer said this was the first annual Chapman Community Bible School, and plans are in place to continue.
