Chapman to be declared Barn Quilt City of Kansas

With over 100 barn quilts around town, we’ve been hearing for a few months that Chapman is the “Barn Quilt City of Kansas,” but it will soon be official. A declaration will be read by Mayor Jeff Blixt at the Nov. 8 City Council meeting, declaring Chapman as the Barn Quilt City of Kansas.

Lori Hambright, the Coordinator of the Barn Quilt Trails of Chapman and Dickinson County, said there are more barn quilts in Chapman than any other city in Kansas. She said the community had embraced the barn quilts from the beginning.
